Meet Mauricio Mena, a 30-year-old from El Salvador who turned his lockdown hobby into a thriving business that not only satisfies his creative spirit but also helps his local community. Like many of us, Mauricio was looking for a way to pass the time during the pandemic, and that's when he stumbled upon woodworking. He had purchased an old school with the dream of converting it into a home-made RV while living in Louisiana, and that's where he first discovered his love for working with wood.

As Mauricio started creating his first table for his school bus RV, he fell in love with the entire process. The adrenaline and creativity of taking raw materials and turning them into something beautiful and functional was a feeling he had never experienced before. Every cut, every sanding stroke, and every coat of finish brought him immense satisfaction when the final product was completed.

When the pandemic subsided, he returned to his home country of El Salvador, where he realized the potential to turn his newfound passion into something more significant.
